The TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools (RQF) Qualification is available to anyone wishing to work as a Teaching Assistant within the education sector and looking to gain a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification. This Teaching Assistant qualification is fully regulated by OFQUAL. It will enable you to work as a fully qualified Teaching Assistant.
A teaching assistant is responsible for carrying out tasks, delegated to them by the teacher in order to work with small groups of children or a single child to support learning. Teaching assistants work under the direction and supervision of teachers in order to help promote effective learning and teaching usually for children that may encounter learning difficulties (SEN). A Teaching Assistant is responsible for supporting the teacher, supporting the pupil, supporting the curriculum, supporting the school.

Students should have access to a computer and basic PC skills
The qualification will be assessed through a combination of written essays, a portfolio of evidence and observation of occupational competence. To gain the qualification, you will be required to complete a 50-hour placement within a school setting. The work experience can be paid or voluntary and it can take place in an infant, primary or secondary school.
We deliver courses through online and blended learning. You may study entirely at your own pace and complete this course in 12 to 18 weeks via distance learning. The approximate amount of time required to complete the TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools (RQF) Qualification is: 180 hours.
On completion Successful learners can progress to Level 4 Certificate for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (RQF)
